Vitamin C, Infectious Diseases And Toxins – Curing The Incurable

VITAMIN C THE ULTIMATE ANTIDOTE: SPECIFIC TOXINS AND VITAMIN C TREATMENT

Mercury

Dr Levy says, “early investigators established that Vitamin C was highly clinically protective against the toxicity of mercury”- study. Carroll et al. (1965).

DR Levy explains the difference between excretion and removal of mercury, and interfering wiht its negative effects. Vitamin C by itself is not a major chelating substance which can be relied upon to cause significant excretion of excess mercury from the body, but it protects against mercury’s toxicity by turning certain mercury containing compounds in the body into a more benign form. A number of scientific studies have documented this benefit using animals and tracking the biochemistry involved after Vitamin C administration was used after toxic mercury exposure in a laboratory setting. In animal studies

The antioxidant effect of vitamin C also plays a part in its protective effect against mercury. Another potent antioxidant Lipoic acid has alos been shown to protect against the toxic effects of mercury in the study by Grunert (1960)-Archives of Biochemistry 86:190-194.

Lead

Lead poisoning is generally encountered as a buildup of lead in the body after chronic low level exposure. A study was published in 1939 (Holmes et al.) with a population of workers exposed at an industrial plant. Seventeen workers who were diagnosed with chronic lead poisoning were administered relatively low doses of Intravenous Vitamin C and were able to be relieved of symptoms they had been suffering from including tremors, loss of appetite and insomnia in a short period of time. Lead toxicity is also able to be treated by chelation therapy with EDTA to remove lead from the body

As explained on this website https://drsobo.com/chelation-therapy/  chelation therapy is administered as an intravenous injection of the amino acid called EDTA, utilizing an IV bag with other nutrients including B vitamins, Magnesium, and Vitamin C given together and infused at the same time. It is effective in removing toxic metals from the blood stream such as lead and cadmium, and to reduce excess iron or calcium deposits.

The term chelation comes from the Greek “chele” which means claw-The EDTA grasps metals biochemically, as a claw-like binding of the EDTA to the metal. The EDTA-metal complex then travels through the bloodstream, and is excreted in the urine, lowering the body’s level of that metal.

Arsenic

Animal stuides from decades ago showed that vitamin C can counter the effects of arsenic poisoning. Human clinical observations were also made by a number of investigators who observed the positive effects on patients with the side effects of arsenic after the administration of Vitamin C. Dainow(1935) Desensitizing Action of Vitamin C   Ann DErmat et Syph. 6:830 and Bundesen (1941) The Detoxifying Action of Vitamin C in Arsenical therapy.

Cadmium

Multiple animal studies were done documenting the protective effect of Vitamin C on cadmium toxicity. Kadrabova (1992) et al.  showed that Vitamin C was effective in preventing the accumulation of cadmium in the brain, heart and testes. Experientia 48(10):989-991

Aluminum

Exposure to aluminum can come through drinking water, aluminum containers and cookware and antiperspirants.

Vitamin C promotes the elimination of aluminum from the body as well as countering its toxic effects. Fulton and Jeffrey 1990   Absorption and retention of Aluminum from drinking water

Dhir et al. (1990) Modification of clastogencity of lead and aluminum… and Roy et al. (1992) Modification of metal-induced micronuclei formation…

CURING, REVERSING AND PROTECTING INFECTIOUS DISEASES

Frederick R Klenner, MD This pioneer in injectable Vitamin C therapy in the 1940s, he published many scientific papers to document his findings and case studies.

His treatments were forerunners of the protocols developed over the years by new generations of physicians who built upon his work in using injectable vitamin C for a wide variety of infectious diseases. Dr Levy makes reference to some of the works of Dr Klenner in his groundbreaking text documenting IV vitamin C’s uses in a wide array of infectious conditions including viruses, bacteria, and other infectious organisms – He lays out this information for all of the following conditions and many more:

HERPES VIRUSES

This type of virus accounts for the clinical conditions of mononucleosis, herpes zoster-called Shingles, and chickenpox It also causes, Herpes simplex – the cold sore virus.

Intravenous vitamin C has been shown to be highly effective for all of these.

VIRAL PNEUMONIA

Dr F. Klenner published a report which reviewed 42 cases of viral pneumonia with overall excellent results.

THE COMMON COLD

In 1970 Linus Pauling released the best seller Vitamin C and the common cold. He was speaking of oral Vitamin C, but with this condition as with so many others, an intravenous infusion is so much more effective. Dr Pauling, the only person who received both the Nobel Peace Prize and the Nobel Prize for Biochemistry, authored another book called How To Live Longer and Feel Better in which he strongly advises using Vitamin C for our best health.

INFLUENZA- THE FLU

Dr Klenner wrote that he treated many cases very successfully.

NON-VIRAL INFECTIOUS DISEASES

Amebic Dysentery- a common infection worldwide

Pseudomonas- usually associated with immunocompromised patients

Staphylococcus- Numerous reports of clinical success with a variety of staph infections are reported in Dr. Levys’ book.

Streptococcus bacterial infection

Rheumatic fever is a condition which results from a simple strep infection presenting as a sore throat going on to cause serious disease affecting the heart and the kidneys if the infection is not treated and eradicated. Decades ago, when this was more prevalent than in today’s society teh pioneering Vitamin C researchers and clinicians took advantage of Vitamin C’s remarkable qualities to treat such patients.

Tuberculosis

This another very serious possibly fatal infection rarely seen in our society today. Effectiveness of vitamin C treatemnts were documented by the early Vitamin C treating pioneers.

Dr Levy’s book explains the many mechanisms by which the body’s immune system may rid itself of the wide array of conditions for which it has been effective. Many of these physiological effects are also tied to the many other positive benefits of vitamin C’s effects on Non-Infectious Disease as well.

Mechanisms of the Antimicrobial Effects of Vitamin C

  1. Selective concentration of Vitamin C in white blood cells
  2. Enhancement of cell mediated immune response
  3. Enhancement of Interferon production
  4. Enhancement of phagocytic function
  5. Enhancement of cytokine production by white blood cells
  6. Enhancement of nitric oxide production by phagocytes
  7. Enhancement of T-Lymphocyte proliferation
  8. Enhancement of B-Lymphocyte proliferation
  9. Enhancement of antibody production and complement activity
  10. Enhancement of natural killer cell activity
  11. Enhancement of prostaglandin formation
  12. Enhancement of cyclic GMP levels in lymphocytes
  13. Inhibition of T lymphocyte death
  14. Inhibition of neuraminidase. This stops pathogens from breaking down protective mucosal barriers.
  15. Detoxification of histamine- an antihistamine effect supporting local immunity.
  16. Neutralization of oxidative stress, which promotes and entrenches the infective process.
  17. Mucolytic effect of Vitamin C helping to liquify thick secretions
  18. Nonspecific immunopotentiation, improving vaccination’s effect.
  19. Possible alteration of bacterial cell surfaces making them more susceptible to eradication by antibiotic therapy
  20. Enhancing localized generation of and /or interaction with hydrogen peroxide, which can kill off invading microorganisms.

The myth of Vitamin C causing kidney stones as a side effect of Vitamin C treatment.

Based vitamin C intake can increase the urinary excretion of calcium oxalate, which is a component of kidney stones, th idea was propsed decades ago, that high vitamin C intake could cause an increased risk of kidney stones. However, after many years it has never been shown that this actually occurs in clinical practice.

Robert Cathcart MD physician researcher, has published extensively on the topic of Vitamin C’s health effects both intravenously and orally.

Dr. Cahcart said that in the high dose treatments he administered over the years, “oxalate kidney stones did not occur, and patients who had them previously tended not to get them again.”

ALERT:  Beyond the scope of Dr Levy’s book but too important not to mention is the fact that High Dose Intravenous Vitamin C is being used successfully in Cancer Treatment

High-dose IV Vitamin C benefits cancer patients new research says https://apple.news/A3ZnXNHDHRkCIdEnky8PMRA

The  Carver College of Medicine at the University of Iowa has just published a scientific study in the journal Redox Biology that showed that pancreatic cancer patients. who had late stage metastatic disease and received the IV Vitamin C had their survival time increased from eight months to 16 months. The title of their just published research is IV Vitamin C Doubles Pancreatic Cancer Patient Survival Time According to New Study.
