Dr. SoboDr. Henry C. Sobo’s Education and Training

Dr. Sobo was raised in Brooklyn, New York and he graduated from Brooklyn College in 1977. He began his medical training at the University Autonomus of Guadalajara and completed it at SUNY Downstate Medical Center, New York. In 1985 Dr. Sobo completed his residency training in Internal Medicine at the Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York.

 

Dr. Henry C. Sobo’s Memberships and Affiliations

Dr. Sobo is a Board-certified Member of the American Society of Bariatric Physicians. This is the certifying national organization of physicians with a specialty interest in weight reduction.

Dr. Sobo is also a Diplomate Candidate of the American College for Advancement in Medicine. This is the largest national organization of doctors practicing nutritionally-oriented medicine. He also holds current memberships in the American Holistic Medical Association, and the American Association of Integrative Medicine and the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine.

Dr. Sobo is a member of the Pan American Allergy Society. His practice emphasizes the variety of conditions that can be improved through identification and treatment of food and environmental allergies.

Notably, Dr. Sobo is one of just a few physicians who has passed a Connecticut (CT) State examination in Homeopathic Medicine. He now holds his license as a Medical Doctor practicing Internal Medicine, as well as his license as a Homeopathic Physician.

Dr. Henry C. Sobo’s Working Philosophy

Dr. Sobo believes in lifetime learning and enhancement of his skills as a practicing physician. Most recently he completed a two-year course of study, achieving certification with The Biologic Medicine Network.

Dr. Sobo’s commitment to a nutritional / holistic approach to medicine is attested to by his affiliation with a number of national physician organizations. He has been a member of The American Academy of Environmental Medicine and The American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine.

Dr. Sobo supports the growth of Complementary Medicine through his affiliation with the American Association for Health Freedom and the Foundation for Innovative Medicine.

Dr.Sobo’s continuing research and study brings him to regularly attend nutritionally-oriented medical conferences where he reviews the latest information regarding natural, non-toxic methods of healing with leading physicians and researchers around the world.

Dr. Sobo has been a lecturer in his community and nationally. He has been a guest on Gary Null’s radio program “Natural Living” — as well as a member of a physicians’ panel recently featured on PBS.

Dr. Sobo has authored numerous articles for publication, including the peer-reviewed journal “The Bariatrician.”
