Moderate coffee drinking linked to reduced risk of death

The data reported in this study was taken from large ongoing public health studies involving over 200,00 people. Study participants were assessed with dietary intake questionnaires every four years  for up to 30 years. This study adds to the evidence reported in previously published studies that moderate coffee consumption confers health benefits.

“Regular consumption of coffee can be included as part of a healthy, balanced diet,” says research author Frank Hu, M.D., Ph.D. of  Harvard Univeristy. “However, certain populations such as pregnant women and children should be cautious about high caffeine intake from coffee or other beverages.”
